Adoption of the bill on the oil and gas sector reform excludes the possibility of Ukrainian GTS privatization, said MP of Ukraine, Chairman of the Party of Regions parliamentary faction Olexander Yefremov during the briefing in the Verkhovna Rada.

Answering the question whether the way of possible privatization of the Ukrainian gas transportation system is provided by the bill on the oil and gas sector reform, Olexander Yefremov, in particular, noted that if it (the bill - ed.) is adopted in order to enter the IPO, as a way to attract additional funds, it is possible. "If it means that by this law, GTS is transferred to someone’s ownership or some consortium is created, then - no," he stressed.

Besides, talks on the establishment of a tripartite consortium continue today, he said. "Whether they will be successful, who will enter into it, whether the European institutions together with the Russian Federation will agree to take responsibility for the state of our gas transportation system and for its work, the time and results of negotiations will show," the politician added.

Consideration of the bill on the oil and gas sector reform on the current week will depend on effectiveness of work of MPs, said Olexander Yefremov. "The bill is on the agenda for Friday. If its turn comes, it will be considered," the MP summed up.
