Member of Parliament, the Party of Regions parliamentary faction member, Finance Minister of the Opposition government Mykola Azarov said on air of ‘Freedom on Inter’ program that for prime minister’s meeting with the heads of village and settlement councils held on May 23 in Kyiv, the government appropriated 15 million hryvnias from the Reserve Fund.

In the politician’s opinion, the government “rudely violated the budgetary code, because money from the Reserve Fund can be allotted for natural disasters, but not for congresses, meetings and so on”.

In addition, commenting on prime minister’s speech that allegedly this meeting is almost the greatest event since the serfdom abolition, Mykola Azarov said with indignation: “How could one compare an ordinary meeting, be it both necessary and important, with such an epoch-making event”. And then he added: “Let alone what a historian may think of, what questions he may have. He should go to a psychiatrist”.

“Following the serfdom abolition, Stolypin’s reform was carried out, later in 1917 land was doled out to peasants, in 1933 it was taken away, in 2000 land was shared. How much the people could be not respected to be treated that way”, Mykola Azarov summed up.
