The Tymoshenko government classified data on the actual amount of living wage again – minister L. Denisova ordered the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy to stop promulgating its actual calculations, - Mykhailo Papiev, Member of Parliament of Ukraine, the Party of Regions parliamentary faction member, said today in an interview to journalists.

According to him, contrary to the law the Labor Ministry conceals the actual amount of living wage in prices as of December, 2009, which should have been promulgated until January 20, 2010. In other words, the ministry neglected defiantly requirements of the law again, thus having consciously stalled the correction of state social standards according to the dynamics of prices, which grew by 1.8% from the beginning of the year.

With that he added that “official statistics over the first month of 2010 substantially differ from the picture we observe in the markets and shops”.

On the whole M. Papiev called such a situation violation of constitutional norms regarding the citizens’ right to social protection and sufficient living standard. “It is not the first attempt of the Tymoshenko government to conceal a real situation in the economy because there is no information and there is no responsibility for failures”, he says.
