People’s Deputy, the Party of Regions parliamentary faction member Iryna Gorina on the air of TV channel ‘Rada’ stated that a covenant on overcoming the political crisis that is planned to be signed by parliamentary factions leaders, should be based on agreements about key priorities of the state development.

Answering a question about the possibility of signing such covenant in the nearest future, Iryna Gorina reminded experience of Ireland on getting over the lingering political crisis, which in its time had split the country into two irreconcilable camps. According to her words, Ireland, which had grave internal problems of ethnic, linguistic, religious pattern, 20 years ago managed to unite and make huge breach towards establishment of a rich and all-sufficient state. At that time leaders of all political forces, represented in the Irish parliament, held a round-table discussion, agreed and identified 20 priorities of the country’s development. ‘Everyone accepted it and signed a document asserting that in the nearest 20 years these priorities will not be changed’, - Iryna Gorina added.

‘In spite of certain differences in the programs of parliamentary political forces, priorities of the state development should remain firm. It should be reflected in an agreement, the draft of which is currently under discussion’, - she said.

‘I want to believe that our leaders are wise enough to reach an agreement, adjust and define key priorities of the Ukrainian state development, sign a program document and start efficient work. Because the Party of Regions understands perfectly well that every day-off in the Parliament entails grave losses in the economy and social sphere of Ukraine’, - underlined the People’s Deputy.
