Hanna Herman, deputy head of the Party of Regions, Member of Parliament, upon the completion of voting and the announcement of the exit-polls results, stated that Tymoshenko had to recognize her defeat, because it is the decision of Ukrainian people.

- Today is a good day for all Ukrainians. The election in Ukraine took place and it was fair and transparent. I am confident that OSCE will give the same evaluation of the elections, despite the fact that Tymoshenko had attempted to implement all sorts of provocations.

According to the preliminary results Ukraine has a new president. And I can congratulate everyone on this. There is a panic in BYuT HQ, they are planning their efforts to block the results in courts, the CEC and everywhere else.

But I think that Tymoshenko will cool off and will agree with the choice of people, because the first commandment of a democrat is to recognize their failure if the people chose this.
